I write because I believe every child deserves the opportunity to see themselves as a math kid. I want children to develop a positive relationship with math, recognize the math they use every day, and grow into confident, curious thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers.

I believe all children can enjoy and learn math at high levels when they have opportunities to explore, create, ask questions, make connections, and see math in the world around them. And it should be visual, hands-on, engaging, and, most importantly, FUN!

Through my books and West Oak Lane Kids, I'm working to help children build math confidence, develop a strong sense of math identity, and discover that every kid is a math kid!
